Privacy policy

Plain version: we collect your email only if you give it to us, use it only for Storage Flip news and playtests, and you can leave any time. We measure how the site is used, and in the EU and UK only if you say OK.

Who we are

Storage Flip is made by Marat Avanesyan (“we”). Contact: privacy@storageflip.app.

What we collect on this website

• Sign-up: your email address, whether you want playtest invites, the campaign that brought you (for example a UTM source), your country and browser language.
• Analytics: which parts of the page you use (for example opening the door, revealing a card, signing up), your approximate country and device type. We do not store your IP address in analytics and we never send your email to analytics.
• Technical logs: our hosting keeps short-lived request logs for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use it

• To send launch news and, if you ticked the box, playtest invitations (your consent).
• To understand what people enjoy on the site and improve it (your consent in the EU and UK; our legitimate interest elsewhere).
• To keep the site secure and stop abuse (our legitimate interest).

Who processes it for us

• Google Firebase (hosting and the sign-up function), United States.
• Mixpanel (analytics), data stored in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
• Cloudflare (DNS, email forwarding and bot protection with Turnstile).
• Google Cloud Firestore (stores the sign-up list for now), United States. When we choose an email service to send the newsletter, it will be named here and the list moved to it; you’ll be asked to confirm your subscription then.

Cookies and similar storage

In the EU and UK we ask before analytics starts; elsewhere analytics runs by default. Analytics stores a small random ID in your browser so visits can be counted. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Bot protection may set a strictly necessary cookie when you sign up.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe; we delete it within 30 days after. Analytics events are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing by writing to privacy@storageflip.app. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The sign-up is meant for people aged 16 and over.
